Cleveland Carbon Fund Announces Grant Recipients

May 17, 2012 - The Cleveland Carbon Fund awarded three grants totaling $15,000 towards community based carbon reduction projects in Cleveland neighborhoods.

Burten, Bell, Carr Development Inc.’s Hertiage View Model Block Sustainability Program will outfit homes in the Central neighborhood of Cleveland with energy efficient CFL light bulbs, low-flow shower heads, and sink aerators.
Bike Cleveland’s Creating a Mode Shift will challenge and equip commuters across the region to choose biking as their preferred method of commuting to and from work.
• Tremont West Development Corporation’s Residential Composting Program will shed light on the amount of food waste that can be divereted from landfills with a strong backyard composting program in Tremont.

Cleveland Carbon Fund Releases Request for Proposals

February 16, 2012 - The Cleveland Carbon Fund is currently seeking proposals for local carbon reduction projects. It is anticipated that individual grants will not exceed $10,000. All responses are due by 5pm on March 16, 2012. Questions should be directed to Joanne Neugebauer via email at: joanne@clevelandcarbonfund.org or at 216-231-4600 x3238.

Leff Electric Energy Solutions Donates $10,258 to the Cleveland Carbon Fund

Participating customers reduced their annual energy consumption by a total of 11,927,907 kilowatt hours.  This equals 5,129 tons of CO2, 1,163 cars off the road, 23,259 trees planted and $1,192,791 in annual utility savings!
